UNCG GRN member receives additional NIH funding

Dr. Jennifer Etnier (UNCG Kinesiology), a member of the UNCG Gerontology Research Network (GRN), recently received additional funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for the project “The Effect of Physical Activity on Cognition Relative to APOE Genotype”. Preventive strategies such as increased physical activity may reduce the risk of or delay the onset of Alzheimer’s disease.  Her research team’s long range research will further understanding of the potential role of physical activity in the mitigation of cognitive decline and in the delay of Alzheimer’s disease.
