Plan NOW to identify two (2) UNCG graduate and undergraduate teams to participate in a statewide entrepreneurship conference in Greensboro next February.

Each participating team will be asked to identify a compelling community need that is not being addressed satisfactorily, and a strategy to address it. Teams will test that idea on campus and off, submit a written business plan that explains the need, the strategy, who else can help in accomplishing the goal, and where the revenue for the idea will realistically come from.

On the day of the conference, teams will deliver time-limited arguments in front of a panel of judges. Finalists will be named in a graduate and undergraduate competition, then winners will be selected at the end of the day.

Teams will have strong support from on-campus SBTDC representatives and can take advantage of their expert advice and counsel by participating in SBTDC-led webinars.

This is a signature conference event for the UNC system attracting about 500 people to Greensboro and garnering statewide media coverage.  Our judges are leaders within their field or industry who also share a common passion for fostering social entrepreneurship.
